Are you finding it hard to be hopeful just now? Are you finding it difficult to hold onto hope in the midst of suffering and loss? Do you know somebody who seems to be without hope? Do you simply want to understand more about hope? If any of your answers are 'yes', then this short, readable book will be of great help and comfort.

Based securely on scripture and God's promises, three authors from countries badly affected by Covid-19 - the UK, Spain and Italy - clearly and helpfully explain where to find hope, how to live with hope, and how to protect hope in the midst of this devastating pandemic.

Pablo Martinez shows the particular relevance of Psalm 91 to the pandemic situation, summing it up as "trust triumphs over fear". Through Psalm 91 he shows us who God is, what God does for us and what our response ought to be. He reminds us of where our faith and hope lies, and that our lives are "not at the mercy of a virus, but in the hands of the Almighty God."

Jonathan Lamb focuses on 1 Peter 1:1-5, highlighting that hope is right at the heart of the Christian faith. He outlines the ways in which Peter shows that hope spans past, present and future and is certain because it is based on a significant past event 'through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead' (1 Peter 1:3). He explains that as christians, we are "part of God's big story, we are certain of Christ's resurrection, and we eagerly anticipate our future home", and "heavenly joy", therefore we need not be consumed by despair and fear.

Giacomo Carlo Di Gaetano shows how to safeguard hope focusing on biblical truths such as the sovereignty of God and the goodness of God. He focuses on the cross of Christ as the "utmost resource for Christian hope". He also outlines the hope that can be offered to those who do not yet believe in Jesus as their Saviour.

This is certainly a very timely and uplifting book that is well worth reading.
