Tom Robson takes the reader on a mountain ascent to view the glory of God. After offering a definition of glory, we embark on the gradual, spiritual climb. On the way he asks us to stop and take in three specific vistas of God’s glory – the glory of God’s grace, the glory of God’s faithfulness and the glory of God’s victory. Individual chapters illustrate how the Christian experiences these particular aspects of God’s glory, using key passages from Scripture. In these chapters, each with imaginative titles, the reader is helped to envision God’s glory by exploring foundational Christian truths. The author then leads us up to the mountain top where we see how these aspects of God’s glory combine to enable us to see Jesus as described in Revelation 4. This view of God’s glory in Christ is exhilarating. The book will appeal to a wide range of readers including seasoned pilgrims, new Christians and those who are seeking to understand the greatness of God for the first time. As I finished the book, I found myself singing ‘The Lamb is all the glory of Immanuel’s Land’!
