This book tells the story of David Murray’s life from growing up in Glasgow to Army Scripture Reader with SASRA via army life, heavy drinking, a failed marriage and God’s forgiveness. He tells of his past life in a scriptural way by stating his sins without dwelling on them and describes the gospel, his Christian life and calling in an engaging and attractive manner. At less than 100 pages this is a quick but worthwhile read, with the only slight negative being that his post-conversion story is limited to less than 20 pages; albeit extremely well-written ones. This would be a good book to share with armed services personnel as an evangelistic tool and to demonstrate the difference that Christ can make to a life that is heading in the wrong direction.
