One of the real blessings of the last few Christmases has been the rise of resources developed specifically to give away with Christmas cards or at evangelistic events. These books are short, attractively produced and full of the wonderful truth of Jesus.

This latest offering from William Taylor is good, and if you are looking for something new to offer folk this year it will do nicely. However, I have to confess that I wasn’t blown away. I know I’m not the target audience, but in my opinion some of the other pamphlets published in previous years have offered a more unusual and challenging message than this one brings. It is full of solid, Biblical gospel, but I’m just not sure it will disturb that many comfortable lives. A warning note to publishers, perhaps – please don’t publish new Christmas resources just for the sake of it.
