This is part of the Christian’s Pocket Guide Series, so it is short, concise and limited in its scope. However, it is a punchy little book and I would say more than adequate for the average lay person to read and understand. It covers, separately, the Canon (the books) of the Old Testament, and the Wording and the same for the New Testament; asking can we be sure that we have the right number of books, and the right wording? Happily, the writer is able to re-assure that we do indeed and that we can trust that the Bible we have is ‘the written deposit’ of ‘Men who spoke from God’ and 'that it has been transmitted to us with high integrity and by the providence of God ever since'.
