A short booklet ideal to give away at Christmas time, ‘Good News, Great Joy’ is indeed full of the joys of Christmas. The book briefly covers Christmas as history, Christmas as the coming of God, and Christmas as a rescue plan, but in a very light-hearted and engaging style. Amusing, yet unavoidably evangelistic, it is perfectly pitched to the non-Christian who knows little of the Bible or the true meaning of Christmas. I particularly liked the repeated encouragement to get hold of a Gospel, and read it with a Christian friend, and also the sample prayer at the end for anyone who wants to become a Christian.
