This is the most helpful book I have read about prayer and one that I want to return to again and again. It is honest and practical, encouraging, inspiring and refreshing. Paul Miller takes us with him through his journey to cultivating 'a praying life' - a life full of conversation and connection with our Heavenly Father. He uses a mixture of scripture and very ordinary personal stories to teach profound truths in short bite-size chapters. It is great to read alone but also lends itself very well to discussion with others, there is a separate small group guide available. Reading this book has expanded my view of God as my Heavenly Father. It has helped me understand barriers to prayer in my own life and how to connect with God in the everyday of life's circumstances. I can't recommend it highly enough!
