This book is a short, accessible, practical tool for anyone who wants to go deeper in their study of the Bible. I found it a helpful reminder that studying the Bible primarily brings us to know God better, rather than being me-centred. Jen Wilkin highlights the need to persevere in studying the Bible. Sometimes it can be a hard slog, but “if you seek it like silver and search for it as hidden treasures then you will…find the knowledge of God" (Prov 2:1-5). A guide for leaders is included, and we have used the book in a group study. It can also be used individually. We have recently been using the tools to study Colossians, and I have found that the method of study has helped me to understand more of Jesus and what he has done, and the implications of this for my life.
