The author lives with mental health issues and so writes from this perspective. It is a deeply personal book, but also one of hope. He does not believe that we are defined by our illnesses, but that our identity is found in Christ. He covers many topics from triggers and breakdowns to suicide and the need to be in community. The chapters are deliberately short, with some personal testimony followed by the truths of scripture applied to give hope, and then each ending with a question for reflection. I would highly recommend this book for those struggling with mental health problems and their carers’ and family/friends.
